Meet Deborah Mushock
Deborah Mushock, Owner & Artist
If you love fishing, the great outdoors, and a place with personality, you’ll feel right at home at Reel Inn and Lodge—and that’s exactly how Deborah Mushock designed it. As the owner and artist behind this one-of-a-kind fishing lodge near Lake Fork, Deborah has poured her passion for both art and the outdoors into every detail.
A lifelong lover of fishing and Texas lakes, Deborah knows that a good day on the water isn’t just about the catch—it’s about the experience. That’s why she created Reel Inn and Lodge, a place where anglers, outdoor enthusiasts, and weekend adventurers can relax, swap stories, and enjoy a stay that’s as unique as their time on the lake. Each of the lodge’s eight rooms is decorated with hand-painted, fish-themed artwork, inspired by the legendary bass and other species that make Lake Fork a world-class fishing destination.
Beyond running the lodge, Deborah is an active artist in the East Texas community, often showcasing her work at Artists Alley and other local events. Whether she’s painting, fishing, or welcoming guests, her goal is always the same—to bring people together through a shared love of nature, art, and good old-fashioned Texas hospitality.
At Reel Inn and Lodge, you’re not just booking a room; you’re stepping into a place designed by someone who loves the lake life as much as you do. So, grab your rod, bring your stories, and make yourself at home—Deborah can’t wait to welcome you.
